Football Manager 2009 Announced2008-09-04

Sports Interactive has posted two videos introducing Football Manager 2009, continuing their relentless assault on soccer fans' relationships with their girlfriends. The new version looks to be one of the most ambitious improvements ever, with changes to board confidence, an entirely new transfers engine, 350,000 players and staff from around the world, and more. The most visible change will be the new 3D match engine, but don't worry footie fans, you don't need to keep having the endless 2D vs. 3D argument, because the 2D view will still be there if you prefer it.

You might want to alert your girlfriend and/or wife now that you'll be hunched over the computer for a week or so in November, after the game is released. Maybe she'll go easier on you, although we doubt it.
